Read the article Feature Richness and User Engagement on Jakob Nielsen’s site useit.com. Nielsen is a web usability guru. His site is a good resource for you as you learn to create and write for the Web envrionment.

The Assignment
Summarize the article in about 250 words and post it to your blog. This assignment has a dual purpose. You will read and write about the subject matter we are talking about in class, and you will synthesize the information and write about it.

Be sure to think about:

• the headline for your post (it should entice your reader),
• the internal headings (they should help the reader find relevant information) and
• the layering of media (do you need videos, graphics, links to better inform the reader?)

The Assessment
The article has lots of information to wade through. You should pull out the most important elements for the summary. The post will be assessed based on the content of the summary and for the correctness of the writing.
